Vacancy Summary Job Title: Project Manager Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1457 Location: Bedfordshire (project located near Bedford) with future project and office travel possible across Hertfordshire or Cambridgeshire. Start Date: ASAP Salary: c£80k-£90k (DOE) + competitive benefits package inc car allowance, healthcare and pension. Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working with an award winning Tier 1 Main Contractor to recruit a talented and experienced Project Manager to join a unique £100m Design and Build Healthcare project in Bedfordshire. With a busy project pipeline and healthy order book for the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, the business are seeking to recruit a Project Manager with a track record of delivering projects for Main Contractors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Director on site to deliver this flagship Healthcare project. Our client is a well respected employer who have a number of projects valued at c£50m+ on site and starting on site in early 2027 across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties. The company is recognised for supporting their employees, with both internal promotion/career development, alongside advocating employee ideas and innovations. Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all project management functions for the project, from planning, design and financial management, through to practical construction delivery of the project. Previous experience in managing projects £10m+ as Number 1 Project Manager for a Top 100 Main contractor is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of both pre-construction project management, contract management, H&S, and exceptional client facing skills. Our client is looking for a candidate with a stable career history working for Top 100 Main Contractors on projects from concept to completion and with experience of managing teams on site of 20+. Desirable Experience: Previously held Project Manager roles with recognised Top 100 Main Contractors. Experienced in delivering Construction projects within any of the following sectors would be advantageous Commercial, MOD/Defence, Education, Science or Mixed-Use sectors. Ideally from a Site Management or Engineering background, including a valid CSCS Card and ideally NVQ Level 6 or BSc qualification in a construction related field. Good client facing and people management skills. Previous Roles: Senior Project Manager OR Project Manager OR Construction Manager OR Project Director OR Contracts Manager. Qualifications & Skills: Degree or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or comparable qualification CSCS Card MCIOB status would be advantageous.
