Quantity Surveyor – Cheltenham – Major Highways Project – £Negotiable + Package If you’re a Quantity Surveyor who wants to add a genuinely substantial project to your CV, this is a great opportunity to do it. I’m working with one of the UK’s largest infrastructure contractors who is building its commercial team for a £300m+ highways scheme in Cheltenham, with four years of local work ahead. The project involves major road widening, new junctions and extensive active travel improvements and is still at a relatively early stage. You’ll work alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, giving you the chance to get involved across the full commercial lifecycle rather than joining halfway through. Your workload will include subcontract management, procurement, valuations, change and cost reporting, with more responsibility available as you develop. They’re looking for someone with previous Quantity Surveying experience from highways, infrastructure or general civil engineering who is ready to take the next step. NEC experience would be particularly useful, but just as important is someone who wants to learn, is comfortable working as part of a project team and is keen to gradually take ownership of larger packages. There’s plenty of security beyond this particular scheme too. The contractor has an order book exceeding £4bn and operates across Highways, Energy, Water, Rail, Building and wider Infrastructure, giving you plenty of options as your career develops. Alongside a competitive salary, they offer a company car/car allowance, private healthcare, generous pension and flexible working arrangements. For further information about the £300m+ project, the commercial team and what the company can offer longer term, please contact MBS Recruitment Solutions ASAP
