Full job description (from employer)⌄
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cheltenham – Highways – £Negotiable + Package How often do you get the chance to join a £300m+ highways project near the beginning and know where you’ll be working for the next four years? I’m recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering a major road scheme in Cheltenham for one of the UK’s largest infrastructure contractors. The project includes extensive road widening, new junctions and active travel infrastructure and, with a four-year programme ahead, gives you the chance to see a major scheme through rather than wondering where you’ll be sent next. You’ll take responsibility for a substantial package of work, covering subcontract management, change, valuations, forecasting and cost reporting while working closely with the operational team, client and supply chain. They’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in highways or major civil engineering and a good working knowledge of NEC contracts. You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership of your own workload and dealing directly with subcontractors and the client, but you’ll also have the support and structure that comes with working for a major contractor. With an order book exceeding £4bn, there is plenty beyond this project too. The business works across Highways, Energy, Water, Rail, Building and wider Infrastructure, so once this scheme finishes there are numerous directions your career could take without needing to change employer. The package includes a competitive salary, company car/car allowance, private healthcare, generous pension, 28 days holiday and flexible working. For further information about the £300m+ project, the company and what they can offer longer term, please contact MBS Recruitment Solutions ASAP
