Support Worker – Temporary Ongoing Location: Colchester £12.71 per hour Brighthire Recruitment is looking for experienced Support Workers to join our temporary team across Essex. We have ongoing work supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Flexible Hours Available Whether you are looking for a few shifts alongside another job or studies, or regular full-time hours, we can offer: Part-time and full-time hours Day and night shifts Flexible working around your availability Ongoing temporary workAbout the Role You will support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live as independently as possible, providing person-centred support based on their individual needs. Your role may include: Supporting people with daily routines and activities Promoting independence and supporting day-to-day tasks Personal care and manual handling where required Supporting people who may display challenging behaviour Following care plans and keeping records up to date Working as part of a team to provide consistent support Building positive and respectful relationshipsWhat We're Looking For At least 6 months' UK care experience Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism Experience or confidence supporting challenging behaviour A calm, reliable and caring approach Good communication skills Must be 18+ Must have the right to work in the UK Skilled Worker visa holders welcome – up to 20 hours per week. Visa switching is not available Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred, but we can support you to obtain a new DBS if neededTraining & DBS Support If you do not have a current DBS on the Update Service, we can support you with obtaining a new DBS. Training refreshers and updates can also be supported where needed.
