Facade Quantity Surveyor Dartford, Kent | £55,000–£80,000 + Package | Permanent Facade | Cladding | Remediation | Recladding | External Wall Insulation Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in facade, cladding or external envelope projects looking for your next move I'm working with an established specialist contractor that is expanding its commercial team, with multiple Quantity Surveyor appointments planned to support a strong pipeline of secured work across the region. Based from their Dartford office, you'll work across a varied portfolio of projects covering façade remediation, cladding replacement, EWI, refurbishment and new-build schemes. Project values range from approximately £1m to £15m, offering exposure to substantial projects rather than being restricted to smaller, repetitive packages. The Role You'll take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and the wider commercial department. Your responsibilities will include: Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and CVRs. Preparing valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts. Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial accounts. Supporting tender reviews, cost analysis and procurement decisions. Monitoring contractual obligations, notices, risks and commercial opportunities. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and protecting project margins. Building relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal delivery teams. Attending commercial and progress meetings to ensure projects remain financially controlled. What They're Looking For Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally across facade, cladding, external envelope, recladding or remediation projects. Experience managing projects or packages with meaningful commercial responsibility. A good understanding of cost control, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts. Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts, with the ability to manage contractual and commercial issues. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to work with clients and operational teams. A commercially minded approach, with the ambition to develop and take on greater responsibility. Why Consider This Opportunity A strong pipeline of work: The business has substantial secured projects, with further schemes planned over the coming years. Varied project exposure: Work across multiple schemes, with values ranging from approximately £1m to £15m, depending on experience and allocation. Career progression: Join a growing commercial team with scope to progress towards Senior Quantity Surveyor and, for the right person, Commercial Management. A growing business: Be part of a business investing in its Southern operation, with plans for significant growth over the next five years. Competitive package: Salary of £55,000–£80,000 depending on experience, with the potential to be considered at Senior Quantity Surveyor level for stronger candidates. Location & Working Arrangements The role is based from the company's Dartford office, with work across London and the Southern Region. Office attendance is expected, particularly during the first three to six months while you establish yourself within the team. Some flexibility around working from home may be available once established, alongside flexibility around start and finish times.
