V7 Recruitment are working with a well-established, family-owned international construction and engineering group who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take ownership of project commercial management, lead procurement and contractual negotiations, and maximise commercial performance across major construction projects. You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior commercial staff and working closely with senior project leadership to drive successful project delivery. What's On Offer? Competitive salary €76,000 - €102,000 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation Full relocation support available Flights and shared accommodation provided Daily allowance of approximately €50–€60 Shared car hire Pension and standard benefits Major, high-profile construction projects Strong career development opportunities The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial strategy, contractual management and financial performance of your projects. Key responsibilities will include: Taking ownership of project commercial strategy and maximising financial returns. Managing all commercial and contractual matters, protecting contractual entitlements and ensuring compliance. Leading procurement activities, including tender preparation, subcontractor selection, order placement and final account settlement. Preparing and presenting financial forecasts, cash flow projections, valuations and commercial reports. Managing variations, claims and final accounts, ensuring accurate supporting records are maintained. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Leading the preparation and management of claims and disputes, including contractual correspondence and supporting documentation. Managing, mentoring and developing Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors. Supporting pre-construction teams with commercial input during tendering and two-stage procurement. Maintaining accurate cost-value reconciliations and commercial reporting. Interpreting and applying contract conditions, including NEC and JCT. Negotiating and managing complex subcontract agreements. Advising on bonds, warranties, guarantees, insurances and letters of intent. Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders. Reporting commercial performance, risks and opportunities to senior management.About You We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Strong experience in commercial management within the construction industry. Proven expertise in procurement, subcontract management, cost control and financial forecasting. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including NEC and JCT. Experience managing variations, claims, disputes and final accounts. A sound understanding of contract law and commercial risk management. Experience leading, mentoring or developing junior commercial professionals. Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness. Relevant training in commercial management, dispute resolution and risk management.Chartered status with RICS, CIOB or an equivalent professional body would be advantageous.
