Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water – Ellesmere Port – Up to £75k + Package If you’re an experienced civil engineering Quantity Surveyor looking for a secure pipeline of work in the North West, this is a role worth considering. My client is a specialist engineering contractor recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering projects through the United Utilities AMP8 framework. Based around Ellesmere Port, you’ll take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, managing them from procurement through to final account. Day to day this will include subcontract management, valuations, change, forecasting and reporting, working closely with the operational teams to keep a firm handle on the commercial performance of each scheme. There is a substantial programme of work ahead. They’re looking for someone with a solid background in civil engineering or utilities and good working knowledge of NEC contracts. Water experience would obviously be useful, but it isn’t essential – they’re equally interested in speaking to Quantity Surveyors from highways, rail, utilities or wider infrastructure who have the right contractual and commercial experience. The company itself has a strong reputation for technically challenging engineering work and offers a refreshingly straightforward environment in which to work. Decisions can be made quickly, there aren’t endless layers of management and experienced people are given the freedom to run their projects. The package includes a salary up to £75k, company car/car allowance, 27 days holiday, 5% employer pension with uncapped employee contributions, discretionary bonus and flexible working.
