Full job description (from employer)⌄

EA Associates are working with an established high-end residential housebuilder based near Norwich who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. The business specialises in the delivery of high-quality, bespoke residential developments, with a strong reputation for workmanship, attention to detail and delivering exceptional homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a reputable regional developer, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects and play an important role within the business. The Role Working closely with the Commercial and Construction teams, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget and to the required standards. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial aspects of high-end residential developments. Preparing and monitoring project budgets, forecasts and cost reports. Procurement of subcontractor packages and materials. Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments. Identifying and managing variations and commercial risks. Undertaking cost analysis and value engineering where appropriate. Liaising with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider project team. Monitoring project expenditure and ensuring financial targets are achieved. Preparing and agreeing final accounts. Supporting the wider Commercial team with the successful delivery of projects. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Ideally a background in Housebuilding, Residential Development or Main Contracting. Experience working on high-quality residential projects would be advantageous but is not essential. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction costs. Experience with subcontractor procurement, valuations and final accounts. Good communication, negotiation and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage commercial responsibilities across multiple projects. Intermediate through to Senior Quantity Surveyors are encouraged to apply, with the business open to considering candidates at different stages of their careers. The level of responsibility and package will reflect the experience of the successful applicant. The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded private housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments in Norfolk. Unlike larger PLC developers, the business offers a more hands-on environment where individuals can have a real influence on project delivery, working closely with senior management and the wider construction team. The company are keen to find somebody looking for a long-term opportunity, offering stability, responsibility and scope for further career development
