PPA Cover Teacher Location: Wigan School Type: 2-Form Entry Mainstream Primary School Start Date: As Soon As Possible Contract Type: Full-Time (5 days a week), Ongoing Pay: Competitive rates About the Role Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher for a vibrant 2-form entry mainstream primary school located in Wigan. This is a full-time, ongoing role starting as soon as possible, working 5 days a week across all primary year groups (EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2). This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile educator who enjoys variety in their teaching week, getting to know pupils across the whole school, and stepping in to deliver pre-planned, engaging lessons while class teachers take their Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time. Key Responsibilities Whole-School Engagement: Cover classes across various year groups from Reception up to Year 6, maintaining continuity and high standards of learning. Lesson Delivery: Deliver engaging lessons using pre-prepared plans left by class teachers, ensuring all learning objectives are met. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and structured learning environment in line with the school's positive behaviour policies. Student Support: Assist pupils with their tasks, providing constructive feedback and encouraging active participation. Handover: Leave clear, concise notes for the returning class teacher detailing lesson progress and any notable achievements or concerns. Requirements Qualifications: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (Early Career Teachers - ECTs - are welcome to apply!). Experience: Confidence and versatility teaching across different primary key stages. Skills: Excellent classroom management, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach. Availability: Able to start immediately on a full-time, ongoing basis (5 days a week) in Wigan.
