What's on offer
Full job description (from employer)⌄
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Sheffield – Highways – £Negotiable + Package Want to take commercial ownership of a £20m project without wondering where you’ll be working once it finishes? I’m recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major UK infrastructure contractor delivering a three-year active travel scheme in Sheffield, with further work already secured across South Yorkshire. The project includes new cycle infrastructure, junction upgrades, public realm works and improvements to pedestrian routes, giving you a good mix of civil engineering rather than one repetitive package of work. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll be the commercial lead on the scheme from mobilisation through to final account, covering subcontract procurement and management, forecasting, valuations, compensation events, change and general NEC contract management. They’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a highways, public realm or wider civil engineering background who is comfortable taking responsibility for a project of this size. You’ll work closely with the operational team and client, with the autonomy to run the commercial side of the job while still having the backing of a well-established regional and national commercial team. The company has a multi-billion-pound order book and, importantly for someone wanting to stay around Sheffield, this isn’t their only project in the area. There is a secured pipeline across South Yorkshire beyond the initial three-year scheme, while the wider business provides plenty of options should you eventually want to move sectors or progress further. They offer a competitive salary, company car/car allowance, private healthcare, enhanced pension and flexible working alongside continued professional development. For further information about the project, the work secured locally and the company itself, please contact MBS Recruitment Solutions ASAP
